Report dumped waste (fly-tipping)

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste that is more than just dropped litter. It can vary in scale, but includes any of the following:

  • general household waste, such as bin bags
  • larger domestic items, such as fridges or mattresses
  • garden refuse
  • clinical waste
  • commercial waste, such as builder’s rubble, renovation waste or tyres

You can report dumped waste online.

Fly-tipped waste may be found anywhere, from roadsides and car parks to cemeteries and public footpaths.

We investigate all dumped waste on public land, and prosecute any person suspected of fly-tipping. Dumped waste on public land is removed by our environmental contractor, Krinkels UK.

If the dumped waste is causing a danger on the public highway, report fly-tipping on the public highway to Surrey County Council.
