Post-bankruptcy and government intervention, our focus has moved from economic growth toward core service delivery, staff tools and infrastructure. We aim to deliver the ambition set out in the Corporate Strategy.
This Action Plan outlines what we have achieved since January 2022, and what we intend to achieve over the next two to three years.
The starting point was from a relatively low base. The infrastructure and ways of working in 2022 would have been recognisable in 2015. Almost everything was self-hosted and behind a virtual desktop. There was no Microsoft 365, little evidence of digital ways of working, and data and procurement capability were underused.
The change in three years has been significant. It is testament to all those in Woking Borough Council and beyond who have worked through significant change and disruption to deliver better, future-proofed digital infrastructure and services.
