Woking Borough Council Digital Action Plan

The Woking Borough Council Digital Action Plan was updated in January 2025, and is focused on delivering digital outcomes.

The 6 workstreams

The Digital Action Plan focuses on delivering outcomes, not technology or structures such as ‘applications’ or ‘customer services’.

The 6 workstreams in the plan are:

  1. Build trust in resident services which are online by default, with support on other channels for those who need it.
  2. Give our people the tools they need to do the job.
  3. Get better with data, insights and performance.
  4. Make our infrastructure and systems modern, secure and interoperable.
  5. Build digital-era capability and structures.
  6. Support connectivity, growth, skills and innovation across the borough.

They follow a similar structure to the excellent work done at Greenwich Council.
