The Council Tax hardship relief is a discretionary fund to help those in need. Under certain circumstances, we can use our discretion to reduce the amount of Council Tax you pay.
Anyone applying will have to show:
- they have tried all other options for meeting their Council Tax costs
- that their current circumstances are unlikely to improve in the next year
We consider each case individually.
