The new Local Development Plan
Preparing a new plan for Woking, from 2027 to 2044.
We are preparing a new Local Development Plan that will replace the current documents that make up the current Local Development Plan.
This will be a single document and will set out the policy framework for delivering Woking's future development needs from 2027/2028 to 2044.
We will share our vision for Woking as we develop the new plan, asking what you think and what should be included.
Local Development Scheme 2024
On 5 December 2024, Full Council approved a new Local Development Scheme (LDS) to set out the timescales for the preparation of a New Local Plan for Woking Borough.
