Local land charge search fees

Our CON29 search fees:

  • enquiries for 1 parcel (a dwelling or piece of land) – £311.10 including VAT
  • enquiries for an additional parcel – £100.80 including VAT (per parcel)
  • part 2 (printed question) – £27.50 including VAT (per question)
  • part 3 (own question) – £37.80 including VAT (per question)

We charge £5.28 for answers to individual questions on the CON29R question. For example:

  • £5.28 for question 3.7a
  • £5.28 for question 3.9b

Question 8

We do not charge for question 8 on the form, as we cannot provide this information. You can ask for this information on the National Grid website.

How to pay

Once you have completed the CON29 request form, you will be asked to pay for the search by credit or debit card. 

If you cannot pay by card, you can apply for a search by registering with one of the licensed channels on the National Land Information Service (NLIS) website. 

Registration is straightforward and offers you different payment options, such as direct debit, bank card, invoice and BACs.
