  • healthy
  • managed within the law

Trees on private land

Trees on private land are the responsibility of the landowner. They should be maintained so that they do not cause harm or risk to anyone.

Landowners are responsible for:

  • submitting an application of the proposed works
  • carrying out the work (if approved)
  • paying for the work

If you refuse to make a dangerous tree safe we may carry out the works and charge for work afterwards.
