We can issue a late temporary event notice up to 5 working days, but no earlier than 9 working days, before your event.
What late TENs are used for
Late TENs are intended to be used:
- by premises users
- for reasons outside of your control, for example, changing the venue at short notice
- in exceptional circumstances
A late TEN given later than 5 working days before the event will be returned as void and your activities will not be authorised.
If the police or environmental health object to a late TEN, the notice will not be valid and you cannot hold the event. You have no right to appeal this decision.
Personal licences and TENs
A maximum of:
- 10 of your 50 notices can be late TENs if you have a personal licence
- 2 of your 5 notices can be late TENs if you do not have a personal licence
