Renew a private hire operator licence or appeal a decision
How to renew a private hire operator licence, including evidence you must submit and how to appeal a decision.
The renewal process is similar to applying for a new licence application.
What to submit with your licence renewal application
You will need to upload:
- a basic Disclosure and Barring Service certificate – GOV.UK
- signage to be used for your vehicles
- a list of drivers who will be working for you
You must also pay the licence fee.
Appeals
You can appeal to the magistrates' court against our decision if your application is refused.
