The rules around using your car park permit or season ticket in one of our car parks.
As a permit holder you are entitled to park in the car park for which your permit is allocated to and valid for.
All town centre car parks are open 24 hours a day. However, some permits may be limited for use during certain times of the day depending of the type of permit allocated, please ensure if this is the case you are clear what these times are.
If your permit is valid between certain times, yet you park outside of the hours you are entitled to park using your permit, you must make payment at the daily rate advertised charges.
There is no guarantee that a parking space will be available.
The vehicle details entered when obtaining the permit are on the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system, so your registration number will be recognised at the exit barrier which will lift automatically. If the ANPR fails to operate you must press the help button and assistance will be provided. If it is found that you do not hold a valid, current permit, you must pay the charge due for parking before exiting the car park.
In the event that you have temporary use of another car whilst yours is being serviced/repaired etc., you must transfer the permit to the temporary car by contacting permits@woking.gov.uk prior to using the car park.
Please note:
Any change in driver or vehicle details must be made by contacting permits@woking.gov.uk and making payment of the administration fee of £25 where applicable. Failure to make changes prior to parking will result in the need for payment of the charge due for parking to be made before exiting the car park. This will be non refundable.
Permits remain the property of Woking Borough Council, they are issued subject to the council’s order(s) relating to car parks in force at the time and the council reserves the right to vary such orders during the period of the subscription.
Cars are parked at the owner’s or driver’s risk and the council accepts no liability for loss or damage to any vehicle or part thereof, nor will it accept liability for the death of or injury to any person(s) arising out of the use of the car park, save insofar as such death or injury is caused by the negligence of the Authority, its servants or agents.
