Fees
Your fee will be calculated as part of the application process on the Planning Portal. You will be asked to pay when you submit your application.
New planning service fees and charges were introduced on 1 April 2025.
Invalid applications
If there is a problem with your application we will email you.
Common reasons for invalid planning applications include:
- the fee has not been paid or the incorrect fee has been paid
- no Community Infrastructure Levy additional information form – this is a compulsory requirement for all applications for full planning permission, householder and outline applications irrespective of whether floor space is being created or not
- no scale bar on the drawings
- drawings have ‘do not scale’ on them
- incorrect application form is submitted
- incorrect address is given
If your application is invalid, we will advise you of the information required. You will then have 28 days in which to respond with the required information or payment.
If we do not receive all of the information required to make the application valid within 28 days of a written request, no further action will be taken on your application.
